Aussie bull rider out of intensive care

Bradie Gray, the Australian bull rider critically injured at a rodeo earlier this month, is out of intensive care at a Wyoming hospital.

An Australian bull rider critically injured at the College National Finals Rodeo this month has been moved out of intensive care at a Wyoming hospital.

The hospital says Bradie Gray walked to his new room on Wednesday morning.

His father, Mick, told the Casper Star-Tribune that his son was determined to walk the whole way after being limited to walking the hallways at the ICU.

Gray also had visits on Wednesday from bull riders Sage Kimzey and Tyler Taylor. Kimzey is the three-time defending world champion of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Gray was injured on June 15 while competing for Odessa College. A bull stepped on his chest after bucking him off.
