Aussie cricketers outscore reality shows

Reality shows The Block and X Factor have been upstaged by the second cricket Test between Australia and New Zealand in Monday's TV ratings.

Australia's rush for runs to force a result in the second cricket Test against New Zealand was more popular than reality shows The Block and The X Factor.

The final session on the fourth day of the Test was fifth on OzTAM's overnight ratings with 969,000 viewers, while The X Factor (958,000) was sixth and The Block (945,000) was seventh.

Taking out the ratings on Monday night was Nine News (1.105 million).

4. Seven News/Today Tonight (Seven) - 1.012 million
