Australian golfer Andrew Dodt tops the leaderboard during the first round of the Mauritius Open after opening with a six-under-par 66.

The two-time European Tour winner on Thursday was two shots clear of India's Rashid Khan, who had also completed his round.

Dodt made a birdie-birdie start from the 10th - as did Khan - and, after a bogey on the 14th and birdie on the 15th, he eagled the par-5 last to turn in 32.

The 30-year-old ended his round having posted six birdies and two bogeys.

South Africa's Jbe Kruger fired a two-under first round of 70, while defending champion George Coetzee was a further shot back after shooting a 71.
