Aussie duo in mix at PGA Puerto Rico Open

Australians Aaron Baddeley and Curtis Luck are in the top 10 after the second round of the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open, just two shots off the lead.

Aaron Baddeley and Curtis Luck are in a group just two shots off the leaders at the half-way point of the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open.

Both Australians carded rounds of four-under 68 on Friday to move to six under and a share of seventh place behind co-leaders D.J. Trahan, Nate Lashley and Roberto Diaz.

Starting on the back nine, Baddeley had two birdies and a bogey at the par-5 16th before he had four birdies and a bogey in six holes to start his back nine at a windy Coco Beach Golf and Country Club.

Luck was bogey-free as he targets a maiden win on the PGA Tour.

Other Australians to make the cut were John Senden (69, one under), Matt Jones (72) and Cameron Davis (71) who are both even, and veterans Stuart Appleby (74) and Robert Allenby (73) at one over.

Trahan birdied the final hole a five-under 67. He has seven birdies and two bogeys in his morning round.

Also playing in the morning wave, Lashley had six birdies and two bogeys in a 68 to match Trahan and Mexican Diaz (68) at eight under.

Canada's Roger Sloan (67), Martin Trainer (67) and Ben Crane (69) are tied for fourth at seven under.

First-round leader Andres Romero followed his opening 66 with a 73 to drop into a tie for 12th at five under.

Rafael Campos, the Puerto Rican player who won a Web.com Tour event in the Bahamas in January, rebounded from an opening 73 with a 68 to move into a tie for 19th at three under.

World No.72 Daniel Berger, the highest-ranked player in the field, is three under after a 71.

The event winner will receive a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour and an exemption to the PGA Championship but won't get an invitation to the Masters.
