Aussie Gak signs with Florida Gators

Young Australian centre Gorjok Gak has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Florida.

Florida has added Australian centre Gorjok Gak to its 2016 basketball recruiting class.

Coach Mike White made the announcement on Tuesday, saying the 6-foot-11 (210cm) Gak signed a national letter of intent to play for the Gators next season.

The Sydney-born Gak played high school basketball at Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton. He has an 88-inch (223cm) wingspan and is rated a top-10 player in the state by ESPN.

Gak helped Victory Rock Prep to a championship in the team's season-ending Grind Session National Tournament and is rated a four-star prospect by Scout.
