Aussie Hon into Korea tennis quarters

Young Australian Priscilla Hon has won through to the quarter-finals of the Seoul Open tennis tournament.

With a world ranking of 308, Hon has scored a 7-5 6-4 victory over Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands.

The 19-year-old will face another Dutchwoman Richel Hogenkamp in the last eight.

Top seed and French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia also advanced on Thursday to the quarters, downing Japan's Nao Hibino 6-2 6-2.

Romanian No.4 seed Sorana Cirstea defeated Nicole Gibbs of the US 6-3 6-3, while Paraguay's Veronica Cepede Royg beat another American Kristie Ahn 4-6 6-4 6-3.
