Australian teenager Alex De Minaur has fallen a set short of joining some of the tennis greats on the Wimbledon honour roll.
After winning the opening set in comfortable fashion, De Minaur collapsed to lose the boys' singles final 4-6 6-1 6-3 to Canadian fifth seed Denis Shapovalov on Sunday.
The 17-year-old from Sydney had been hoping to join the likes of Roger Federer and fellow Australians Todd Reid (2002), Pat Cash (1982) and John Alexander (1968) as a junior champion at the All England Club.
