The Las Vegas man accused of attempting to shoot dead a member of Australia's Thunder From Down Under stripping troupe has been found mentally competent to stand trial.
Joey Kadmiri, 24, is accused of going backstage at the dancers' popular strip show in the Excalibur Casino on March 18.
When one of the buffed dancers, Ryan Paki, noticed Kadmiri going through their uniforms a brawl erupted, Kadmiri pulled out a Dirty Harry style .44 calibre Magnum gun and fired a shot at the head of troupe member Scott Berchtold's head, it was alleged.
As the trigger was pulled one of the dancers pushed the gun away and a bullet hit the wall in change room, according to authorities.
During an appearance in the Clark County District Court on Monday, Judge Jerome Teo set Kadmiri's trial for July 7.

A competency hearing was told two doctors believed Kadmiri was competent to stand trial.
A grand jury indicted Kadmiri on 17 criminal counts, including attempted murder with a deadly weapon, burglary while in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
