An Australian pensioner charged with a 24-year campaign of child sex attacks in Wales has made a brief appearance in a London court.
Reginald Davis, 77, from Perth, was extradited from Australia this week and arrived in London on Wednesday morning.
He has been accused of 16 offences between 1949 and 1973.
They include several counts of raping a child under 12 during his time living in Wales.
Davis, a British national and Australian resident, appeared for about three minutes at Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Wearing a blue chequered shirt and black trousers, he gave his full name and date of birth in a strong British accent at the central London court.
Davis has lived in Australia since 1974 and the majority of his charges stem from the 1950s.
District judge Elizabeth Roscoe refused Davis bail and said that he was a flight risk because of his ties to Australia.
She said he had failed to surrender and he had tried to contact witnesses.
"There is a substantial risk that you might interfere with the witnesses," she said.
Due to the seriousness of the charges, his case has been sent to Southwark Crown Court with his next hearing on December 9.
