Australian gymnast Danielle Prince is headed to the Rio Olympics.

Prince, a three-time national champion, has qualified as the highest-ranked rhythmic gymnast in the individual all-round event from the Oceania region.

After narrowly missing out in 2012, Prince finished 78th at last year's world championships, however it was enough to secure her the required ranking and a quota position from FIG, the sport's ruling body.

"We are so pleased for Danni, that her hard work and persistence in the sport has been rewarded in the naming of this quota place by the FIG," Gymnastics Australia CEO Mark Rendell said.
