Melbourne-born Jordan Berry's Pittsburgh Steelers are just two wins away from making the Super Bowl after scorching the Miami Dolphins with a lethal offensive display.
The news was not so good for another Melbourne punter, Brad Wing, who was eliminated from the NFL Playoffs when his New York Giants stumbled to a 38-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The Steelers' offence, led by the big three of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide-receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le'Veon Bell, beat the Dolphins 30-12 on Sunday in minus eight degree Celsius temperatures AT Pittsburgh's Heinz field.
The trio was so hot the Steelers had no need for Berry's big boot to punt them into better field position until early in the fourth quarter.
By that time the Steelers led 30-6 and were in no danger of missing out on moving on to face the NFL's number two seed, the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round on Sunday.

"We wanted to go out there and make a statement," Bell said.
Berry had just two punts, with an average of 35 yards and the longest 45.
Berry and Wing both grew up playing Aussie rules in Melbourne and progressed through the US college football system.
Wing was recruited by the Steelers in 2014 and a year later found himself in a head-to-head off-season competition with Berry for the punting job in Pittsburgh.
Berry won, but Wing did not suffer as he was traded to the Giants and has been a sensation with the team.
The Giants took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and trailed just 24-17 at the end of the third quarter before the Packers, playing in minus 11 temperatures on their home field, broke away with two touchdowns.
Wing had a busy day attempting to get the Giants out of tough field position with the Australian punting eight times for an average of 33 yards, his longest carrying 55 yards.
The Giants' star wide-receiver Odell Beckham and other teammates have come under fire from fans and commentators after social media showed they had flown to Miami on Sunday to party with pop star Justin Bieber.
Beckham had a poor game, dropping passes and managing just four receptions for 28 yards.
The Packers, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers' four touchdown passes, will play the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday.
In the other playoff games next weekend the New England Patriots take on the Houston Texans and the Seattle Seahawks tackle the Atlanta Falcons.
