The news comes six months after the couple welcomed their first child together, son Lion, in October.
O'Loughlin also has a teenage son, Saxon, and Jones a four-year-old son, Spike, from previous relationships.
O'Loughlin was previously in a long-term relationship with former Neighbours star Holly Valance.
He is best known for starring opposite Jennifer Lopez in The Back-up Plan.
