Aussie, US, Chinese troops set to go bush

For the third year, Australian, US and Chinese soldiers are participating in a survival training exercise in the Northern Territory.

Small groups of Australian, US and Chinese soldiers are preparing to go bush to learn how to survive in the Top End.

This is the third year for Exercise Kowari in which 10 soldiers from each country are taught skills for surviving in the Australian outback.

Brigadier Damian Cantwell said it was a great opportunity for participants to learn new skills, develop lifelong friendships and develop mutual trust and understanding in an extremely challenging environment.
