Aussies aim big v India in third ODI

Despite holding an unbeatable lead in their women's one-day international series against India, Australia has big plans for their third and final match.

Australia's women's cricket team have confirmed their No.1 international ranking with a one-day series win over India and are thinking big ahead of their next match.

At Bellerive Oval on Friday the Southern Stars had a solid six-wicket victory to take an unassailable two-nil lead in the three-match series.

Top-scorer for the hosts, West Australian Nicole Bolton (77) said despite the series standing, Sunday's third fixture - again in Hobart - will see the side aim big, including a lofty one-day run total.

"We're always looking to get better as a team and I think we're getting close to being a 300-team and we always want to try and strive to go bigger," she said.

On Friday India finished their 50 overs at 8-252, including a maiden ODI century for opener Smriti Mandhana (102).

In reply the Aussies reached 4-253 with more than three overs to spare.

After Sunday's match Australia heads to New Zealand for a three-ODI and three-T20 playing schedule against the home side, who are ranked third in the ICC women's championships.
