South Africa cricket captain Faf du Plessis says Australia are clearly struggling in the absence of injured paceman Mitchell Starc.
The Proteas have charged to a 2-0 lead in their five-match one-day series against Australia, who have battled to contain the home team's batsmen without their attack leader.
Starc, along with Josh Hazlewood and James Faulkner, are not on the tour to the Rainbow Nation.
And du Plessis, who claimed man-of-the-match honours with his sixth ODI century in a 142-run thrashing of Australia at the Wanderers on Sunday (Monday AEST), says it is clear how much the tourists are missing their talisman.
"You throw Starc back into that team, it's completely different," du Plessis said.
"He's proven many times he gets wickets ... he's got that extra pace. He's extremely good to the tailenders. He gets the ball to reverse (swing).
"In the West Indies he did that to us twice, came in and just rolled over the tail.
"Extra pace in all formats is a weapon that a captain wants to have in his side."
The Proteas themselves have been without two major batting weapons in the series so far as well.
AB de Villiers was ruled out for this series and the upcoming Test series in Australia due to an elbow injury while Hashim Amla missed Friday's series opener with a virus.
Despite recovering from that illness, Amla was surprisingly overlooked by selectors for Sunday's match - a decision du Plessis didn't agree with.
But while he would have preferred to have Amla in his team, du Plessis did see a positive in his team's displays without such a world class pair of batsmen.
"Our performances have been extremely good and it's without the two best players in the world," he said.
"It shows that there is a future without AB de Villiers. Hopefully we can have him back and Hashim Amla, but it shows that there is a lot of talent in South African cricket."
