The Diamonds have received a big boost on the eve of their deciding Constellation Cup netball match against New Zealand in Perth, with shooter Caitlin Bassett and midcourter Renae Ingles passed fit.

Coach Lisa Alexander, who will celebrate her 50th Test in charge, has opted for experience after blooding new players earlier in the four-match series.

Ingles and captain Laura Geitz return to the 12-player team for midcourter Ashleigh Brazill and defender Jo Weston.

Geitz has been recalled after being originally scheduled to sit out the third and fourth Tests.

WA product Bassett overcame foot soreness which caused her to be substituted at halftime in the Diamonds' 50-47 loss to the Silver Ferns on Sunday in Melbourne.

It will be just Bassett's second Test in Perth and her first for four years.

Ingles missed the past two Tests after suffering a calf strain midway through the second quarter of the Diamonds' 50-44 victory in the opening Test last week in Christchurch.

"It was a very difficult decision to name 12 athletes because they all deserve to line up on Friday," Alexander said.

"However, we opted for experience after Caitlin and Renae were passed fit by the medical staff."

The Silver Ferns' victory slashed Australia's series lead to 2-1 going into Friday's match at Perth Arena, which is expected to draw a capacity crowd of around 13,000.

New Zealand will need to win by 14 goals to take the Cup on percentage.

"Let's not leave it to that. Let's just win it and we'll be okay," Diamonds defender Sharni Layton said.

Geitz is determined the Diamonds will fight harder than in the Third Test, when they surrendered a nine-goal third-quarter lead.

"We let them back in and we didn't fight to come back and that's disappointing," Geitz said.

"That's not what we stand for as a team and there won't be any of that come Friday night."
