Australians are being urged to immediately change their LinkedIn password after the professional networking service reported a data breach.

A previously reported 2012 data breach is much larger than first thought, with email and password combinations from 117 million members now reportedly for sale on the internet.

The Australian government has advised people to choose a new, strong password to minimise the risk of having their personal information leaked.
