Australia has won the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania tie against Taiwan at Melbourne Park 3-0.
The tie was wrapped up on Saturday when Carsten Ball and Paul Hanley took out the doubles rubber against Tsung-Hua Yang and Chu-Huan Yi in straight sets.
In a close encounter, Australia sealed the tie with a 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 victory.
The Australians went into the doubles in a dominant position after taking both singles on Friday's opening day.
Bernard Tomic gave Australia a head start when he cruised through his debut match against Yang in straight sets.

Victorian Peter Luczac then defeated Yi in four sets to put Australia ahead 2-0 after the first day's play.
Australia will now face the winner of the tie between Japan and the Philippines in May.
The country could be back in the World Group for 2011 if it continues its successful start to the year.
