Aust gives $8mln for Indon breed cattle

Australia is providing $8 million to a three-year pilot cattle breeding project in Indonesia.

Australia is giving $8 million to help Indonesia breed cattle.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has announced the agreement after meeting with Indonesian Trade Minister Thomas Lembong on Thursday.

The three-year project aims to help Indonesia develop commercially viable beef cattle breeding business models, which could increase demand for Australian breeding stock, Mr Joyce said in a statement.
