Aust pedophile testifies in Danish case

Jailed pedophile Shannon McCoole has given evidence in a Danish child abuse case according to a media report.

Jailed Australian pedophile Shannon McCoole, who was an administrator of a global child pornography network, has given evidence to a Danish court against a man accused of helping to run the online forum.

McCoole last month testified from prison in Adelaide by videolink in the case against a 48-year-old Dane - known only as TL - who is accused of abusing four children and of helping McCoole, the ABC has reported.

TL has denied being a senior figure in the network, saying he only had a minor role, the ABC says.

McCoole, who was a childcare worker in Adelaide employed by Families SA, was last year jailed for 35 years for sexually abusing children in his care and for running the child pornography website.

The ABC report says McCoole told the Danish court that TL was well respected in child abuse circles and had helped him find original child pornography material.
