A tip from undercover police in Australia has led to the arrest of a school teacher in Texas on a child pornography charge.
The US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, John Parker, announced on Wednesday Mark Stutheit had been arrested in Dallas.
Stutheit, 59, was a teacher at Dallas County's Reinhardt Elementary School.
The investigation began last month when an undercover officer with the Queensland Police Service visited a website known for trading child pornography and allegedly began exchanging emails with Stutheit.
Stutheit went by the username OLDMANYG and had created an album on the site with photos of young girls in bathing suits titled "Cute butts", according to the criminal complaint.

He also allegedly added comments to the photos including "love to look and dream".
Queensland police forwarded the information to US authorities and on June 17 Stutheit's home was searched, he confirmed his username was OLDMANYG and admitted he had child pornography on his computer, tablet and mobile phone, authorities said.
Stutheit appeared in the federal court in Fort Worth, Texas, on Wednesday and was refused bail.
He was charged with receipt of child pornography and faces a minimum of five years' jail and a maximum of 20.
