Austal wins orders worth $29 million

Shipbuilder Austal has secured two contracts in South East Asia to build passenger ferries.

Shipbuilder Austal has won two contracts worth a total $29 million to build commercial passenger ferries.

The first order, worth $16 million, is for a high-speed, 450-person catamaran for South Korean operator Seaspovill.

The West Australian company will also build two catamaran ferries for Filipino transport company 2Go Group, worth about $13 million.
