Australia backs US concerns on China's activities in South China Sea

Defence Minister Kevin Andrews has joined the United States in expressing strong concerns about China's reclamation of territory in the South China Sea.

Defence Minister Kevin Andrews has joined the United States in expressing strong concerns about China's reclamation of territory in the South China Sea.

China has reacted angrily to the criticism of its construction on reclaimed land.

The argument has been dominating a meeting on regional security in Singapore, which the Australian Defence Minister has been attending.
