Australia chips into help stop Ebola

There have been 12 deaths from Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 35 confirmed cases.

Australia is ramping up its contribution to stopping a new outbreak of Ebola in Africa.

There have been 12 deaths in the Democratic Republic of the Congo deaths from 35 confirmed cases.

Ebola is an infectious and deadly virus which causes high fevers and internal bleeding.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has announced Australia will kick in $4 million to a World Health Organisation's emergency fund and $9.5 million to a World Bank pandemic emergency kitty.
