Australia has been confirmed as one of 43 countries represented at the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in the Ukrainian capital Kiev in May next year.
Contest organisers on Friday confirmed the entries for the 2017 event, with Australia returning for a third year running after being granted a wildcard entry in 2015.
In this year's contest in Stockholm in May, Australian singer Dami Im came second overall and won the jury vote with her song Sound of Silence, paving the way for Australia to be represented again next year, backed by broadcaster SBS.
Guy Sebastian, Australia's first entrant in the contest, came fifth in Vienna in 2015 with his song Tonight Again.
After Ukrainian singer Jamala won this year's contest with her song 1944, the 62nd Eurovision contest will be held at Kiev's International Exhibition Centre, with the final taking place on May 13.
Last year's contest reached a television audience of more than 200 million and it has been broadcast by SBS in Australia every year since 1983.
