MAN OF THE DAY: Local lad Travis Head. He'd dreamt most of his life of batting in a home Test match in Adelaide. And when the day came, he seized it with a rearguard unbeaten 61 which keeps the Test match in the balance.
KEY MOMENT: India's Ravichandran Ashwin shreds Australia's middle order with three consecutive wickets as the hosts plunge from 1-45 to 4-87. Ashwin spun out a trio of lefthanders - Marcus Harris, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja - to seize momentum for the visitors. He finished the day with 3-50 from 33 probing overs.
STAT OF THE DAY: 42. The percentage of Shaun Marsh's Test innings in which he has been dismissed for single figures. Marsh fell for two on Friday, failing to reach double-figures for the 26th time in his 62 Test knocks.
