The Australian track cycling team are without more than $100,000 worth of equipment, with their bikes and other gear stranded in Colombia.
Seven riders flew to Los Angeles on Monday for the second leg of a track cycling double header, after a 13-member team competed in Cali.
However, 28 pieces of luggage, containing all their equipment, are yet to make the trip.
There was also a 48-hour delay last week before their equipment arrived in Cali.
Since arriving in LA, the five women and two men in the Australian team have trained on bikes borrowed from New Zealand, Canada and the local track venue.
The riders have their clothing, helmets and bike shoes.
The China and New Zealand teams are also missing equipment for the same reason.
It is understood American Airlines will eventually deliver all the equipment but there are issues concerning the weight allowance of the cargo on each flight.
A decision is yet to be made on whether Ashlee Ankudinoff, Georgia Baker, Amy Cure, Alex Manly and Rebecca Wiasak will ride the women's teams pursuit.
Kelland O'Brien will race in the men's omnium and scratch race on a borrowed bike and Thomas Clarke will do the same in the sprint and keirin.
