Australian Ebola clinic wins award

The Canberra firm behind the Australian-funded ebola clinic in Sierra Leone has won a national award for project management.

The Canberra medical firm which operated an Australia-funded Ebola clinic in Sierra Leone has won a national award for its lifesaving work.

Aspen Medical claimed the Australian Institute of Project Management international humanitarian aid award category at a ceremony in Hobart on Tuesday night.

The clinic admitted 216 patients and saved 36 lives during its operation from December 2014 until April this year without any medical staff becoming infected.
