Australian killed in PNG plane crash

An Australian pilot has been confirmed among three dead, while six people have survived after a plane crash in Papua New Guinea.

The Hevilift flight crashed into terrain just out of Port Moresby this morning.

The bodies have been airlifted from the crash scene to Port Moresby.

Six passengers, all PNG nationals, survived and are being treated at a Port Moresby hospital.

The twin otter aircraft was travelling from Woitape to Port Moresby.
