Australian woman arrested in Nepal accused of spreading Christianity

An Australian woman has been arrested for allegedly spreading Christianity in Nepal.

An Australian woman is among a group of five people arrested for allegedly spreading Christianity in Nepal. 

An official told SBS Nepali that Australian Katiya Graham had been visiting homes of local people with the aim of converting them to Christianity. 

“Nepalese law strictly prohibits such acts," Immigration Department director Bishnu Hari Upadhaya said. "Currently we are investigating whether the charges filed against her are true."
