Australians on board Dubai emergency plane

Two Australians were among passengers who were all evacuated safely from an Emirates plane that made an emergency landing at Dubai airport.

Two Australians were among passengers on board the Emirates plane that made an emergency landing in Dubai.

The passengers and crew included 226 Indians, 24 British people and 11 Emiratis, the airline says.

There were also six Americans, six Saudis, five Turks and four Irish people on board the flight from Thiruvananthapuram in southern India.

There were two persons each from Australia, Brazil, Germany, Malaysia and Thailand, and one from each of Croatia, Egypt, Bosnia, Lebanon, the Philippines, South Africa, Switzerland and Tunisia.

All passengers and crew were evacuated safely.
