Members of the Liberian-Australian community have welcomed the federal government's increase in aid to fight the spread of Ebola in parts of west Africa.
The Abbott government has announced an additional $20 million in funding for a private company to run a 100 bed hospital in Sierra Leone.
Like Liberia, which has been the hardest hit, it's one of the nations affected by the deadly virus.
The facility will serve overseas health workers, possibly including Australians, working in the region.
Bobby Whitfield from a group known as the Federation of Liberian Communities in Australia told Biwa Kwan the aid is a boost, but more help is needed.
