Australia's unemployment rate was a seasonally adjusted 5.3 per cent in February, compared with an unrevised 5.2 per cent in January, the Australian Bureau of Statistics says.
Total employment rose by 400 to 10.971 million in February, seasonally adjusted.
Full-time employment rose by 11,400 to 7.659 million in the month and part-time employment was down by 11,000 to 3.311 million.

The participation rate in February was 65.2 per cent, down 0.1 of a percentage point from January.
The forecast was for total employment to have risen by 10,000 in February, an unemployment rate of 5.4 per cent and a participation rate of 65.3 per cent, the median of 11 economists surveyed by AAP showed.
