Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic has ended Hsieh Su-wei's eight-match winning streak with a 6-4 5-7 6-4 win to advance to the final of the Korea Open.

Hsieh won last week's Japan Women's Open in Hiroshima and the first three rounds in Seoul but the tournament's sixth seed faltered against Tomljanovic, the current world No.53.

Tomljanovic will play second-seeded Dutchwoman Kiki Bertens, who beat third seed Maria Sakkari (Greece) 6-4 6-2 in Saturday's other semifinal.

Bertens won her only previous meeting with Tomljanovic 4-6 6-1 6-1 at the 2017 French Open.
