Sydney trio Mansionair has missed out on a Grammy Award for best dance recording.

Sydney trio Mansionair has missed out on a Grammy Award.

Lachlan Bostock, drummer Alex Nicholls and singer Jack Froggatt were nominated in the best dance recording category for their collaborative effort Line Of Sight with Seattle electronic duo Odesza.

The winner in what was the first category announced at the Grammy ceremony underway in New York on Sunday was LCD Soundsystem for Tonite.
