Superstar DJ Avicii has thanked fans for their support after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix and gallbladder.
The DJ was forced to scrap a string of shows in the US earlier this week after falling ill.
He checked into a Miami hospital on Thursday following problems with his gallbladder, only for doctors to discover his appendix had ruptured.
He underwent an operation to remove the organs on Saturday and has now reached out to fans to insist he is on the mend.
"Thanks for your concern everyone, it means a lot to me! Turns out i had a ruptured appendix on top of my sick gallbladder...both were removed during the operation. Now i feel like s*** but at least i'm on the road to recovery (sic)..." he tweeted.
The Swedish star also told fans that he expects to be back to full fitness in time for his US tour, which kicks off in Boston, Massachusetts on April 10.
Avicii was in Australia earlier this year for a series of Arena shows. The music star performed in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
