Baby girl found in Perth home drug lab

A man has been accused of manufacturing drugs at a home in Perth's eastern suburbs where police found and removed a baby girl during a raid.

A four-month-old girl has been removed from a suspected drug lab in Perth's eastern suburbs.

The organised crime squad found the child when they raided a house in Belmont on Monday.

Items consistent with the manufacture of illegal drugs are being analysed by detectives and ChemCentre specialists.

A 42-year-old man has been charged with attempting to manufacture a prohibited drug and will appear in court at a later date.

Further charges may be laid.
