Top-seeded Timea Bacsinszky has beaten New Zealand qualifier Marina Erakovic 6-2 6-1 in the final of the WTA event in Morocco.

It was a fourth career title for Bacsinszky and a first on clay for last year's French Open semi-finalist.

World No.15 Bacsinszky took little more than an hour to defeat a player ranked 171 places below her.

The Swiss broke her opponent's serve seven times, and dropped just one set in five matches in Rabat.

It was Erakovic's first clay-court final and her fifth overall.

Her only title was three years ago at Memphis on an indoor hard court.
