A man accused of repeatedly drugging and raping a woman at a Brisbane home over a number of weeks has been ordered to stay off social media as part of his bail conditions.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reason, was granted bail this week after being charged in January with 28 offences, including deprivation of liberty and six counts of rape.

After initially being prohibited from using a mobile phone, Supreme Court Justice Peter Davis on Wednesday ruled that was technically incompatible with his requirement to wear a tracking device.

Instead, Justice Davis ordered the 29-year-old accused not use social media.

He will still have to wear the tracking device, which operates through a mobile phone.

The man initially appeared in court in early February, after police alleged he drugged his victim in the Brisbane CBD with a tranquilliser on January 18 and took her to a Fig Tree Pocket home, where she was held against her will until January 31.

A prosecutor described her treatment as that of a "sex slave".

The man's lawyer said claimed any sexual contact between the two people was consensual.

He was refused bail on February 4, with magistrate Bronwyn Springer particularly concerned about a video of the accused having sex with the woman where "she can be heard telling him to stop".
