George Bailey admits it will take some mental adjustment for him to make the shift from Twenty20 cricket to the ODI version, but he couldn't be happier with his form.
Bailey's 55 from 40 balls was a rare highlight for Hurricanes in their comprehensive loss to Melbourne Stars at the MCG - his last BBL game before joining the Australian ODI squad for the five-match series against India.
"I feel like from the back of the Shield season that I've been scoring some runs and been reasonably consistent in the BBL," Bailey told AAP.
"I couldn't be happier with how I'm hitting the ball or at least structuring my innings.
"It's nice to go into the series confident."

Australian teammate Glenn Maxwell notched a typically swashbuckling half-century for Stars in the same match and doesn't plan to change his approach against India.
"I'll continue to bat exactly the same way," Maxwell told reporters. "(I'll) try to take on the spinners and get busy against the quicks."
Bailey's innings included an unorthodox overhead swat more akin to a tennis shot than a cricket stroke that he admitted was part of the Twenty20 mentality he'll need to tone down in the longer form of the game.
"It is a bit of a change in mindset for me," he said. "(Aaron) Finch and Davey Warner are going to be pretty attacking at the top and Maxy is going to play the way that Maxy plays, so for me it's more about just fitting in with what happens there.
"But certainly in terms of my intent and the way that I'll try to structure my innings ... I'd like to be able to replicate some of the things that I've been doing in this tournament."
