Balenciaga slammed for confusing $1900 T-shirt shirt

Luxury brand Balenciaga’s latest fashion item has caused an internet stir.

The ‘T-shirt Shirt’ - part of the Fall 2018 collection and retailing for up to $1950, features a men’s crew neck t-shirt with a long sleeved buttoned shirt attached to the front.

Fashion fans are not impressed with the confusing garment and have branded the design as a “joke”, “bizarre” and “fake” on social media.

The Spanish brand says on its website the shirt can be worn two ways: “Wear the short sleeves shirt with front drape effect or the long sleeves shirt with back drape effect.”

For those eager to purchase the pricey item, it can be pre-ordered online and is available to be shipped by 30 July.
