The Seven Network reports officials ran out of election papers in the booth of Epping in the electorate of McEwen mid-afternoon forcing the booth to close.
A Liberal Party scrutineer's told the network that when the booth reopened around 100 ballot papers were handed out which hadn't been signed by Electoral Commission workers.

The mistake would render the votes invalid in an electorate that will be won on a knife's edge.
