After a hiccup in Adelaide, GWS have re-affirmed their AFL premiership credentials with a 23-point win over North Melbourne in a tricky road fixture in Hobart.
The Giants, beaten last week by the Crows, are back in second spot on the ladder at the end of round 13, after finishing over the top of the resurgent Kangaroos on Sunday at Bellerive Oval.
Star forward Toby Greene bagged three goals on return from a knee injury, as the Giants overcame a halftime deadlock to win 14.7 (91) to 10.8 (68).
Coach Leon Cameron was thankful his players could rest up and enjoy their bye round after consecutive away trips.
"We're probably a bit banged up at the moment," Cameron said.

"We need a bit of a spell. We've got 10 days until we play Essendon. It was a really physical game (in Hobart). Our guys are going to need 48-72 hours to get over this game.
"Everyone wants to be around that top-four mark. You're trying to shuffle for spots. We know we've got to do a fair bit of work to continue to learn to win on the road."
On Saturday night, Charlie Curnow kicked seven goals but it wasn't enough to get Carlton over the line in a thriller against the Western Bulldogs.

The situation looked grim for St Kilda coach Alan Richardson when his faltering side fell behind early in their clash with strugglers Gold Coast in Townsville.
But the Saints overcame a 31-point deficit to score an 11.14 (80) to 11.10 (76) win.
Essendon came out on top in their latest clash with heated rivals Hawthorn - 14.12 (96) to 11.11 (77) - with the conduct of Hawks skipper Ben Stratton a big talking point out of the Marvel Stadium clash.
Stratton was referred directly to the tribunal for repeatedly pinching Orazio Fantasia and stomping on Shaun McKernan's foot.
The round kicked off on Thursday night when Adelaide accounted for injury-hit Richmond 15.11 (101) to 9.14 (68) at Adelaide Oval.
