Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza and middle-order batsman Sabbir Rahman have been fined 20 per cent of their match fees after a spat during their one-day international win over England.
Jos Buttler, England's captain, also received an official reprimand for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the sides' second ODI in Mirpur on Sunday.
Both the Bangladesh players were found to have breached the ICC Code of Conduct relating to ``using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his/her dismissal during an international match.''
Buttler was found guilty of ``using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an international match''.
While this was the first offence for the rival captains, Rahman has been sanctioned for the second time since the introduction of the ICC's revised code.
The incident happened in the 28th over of England's run-chase when Mortaza and Rahman reacted after Bangladesh's review against Buttler was successful and the England captain responding by making inappropriate comments.
The three players admitted the offences and accepted the sanctions.
Bangladesh won the match by 34 runs.
Buttler had played a lone hand in keeping England's hopes of overhauling Bangladesh's 8-238 alive with a run-a-ball 57.
The three-match series is tied at 1-1 and the sides will face in Chittagong on Wednesday.
