Bangladesh say they will take some heart from their batting performance in Wellington, despite crashing to a record-setting loss in the first cricket Test.
The second Test against New Zealand starts in Christchurch on Friday but the tourists will be smarting from a seven-wicket loss in the opener.
They scored 8(dec)-595 but still went on to lose - breaking a 122-year-old record for the highest first innings total for a losing side.
"We lost the game but throughout the Test match, maybe the first four days we played really well," opener Tamim Iqbal said.
"But there was one session on the fifth day we didn't play well."
Posting 595 in the first innings was a huge achievement, he said.
"I am sure the boys are much more confident than they were before the Test match.
"I am sure when we go to Christchurch we will try to put up a better show."
Bangladesh have now lost all six Test matches they have played in New Zealand.
