Sabbir Rahman is among four new faces in Bangladesh's 14-man squad for the first Test against England in Chittagong.

Rahman was fined 20 per cent of his match fee for his role in the angry on-field exchange between several Bangladeshi fielders and stand-in England captain Jos Buttler during the second one-day international last week.

But the 24-year-old, who has played 29 ODIs and 26 Twenty20 internationals, could be in line to make his Test bow when the two teams meet at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from Thursday.

Former under-19 captain Mehedi Hasan and paceman Kamrul Islam Rabbi have never been capped at international level while wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan has only featured in the shortest format for Bangladesh.

Shafiul Islam has been included, having last played a Test nearly two years ago, and is one of only two quick bowlers in the squad, with the Tigers loading up on their spin options.
