Barnett new minister in Tas cabinet

Former senator Guy Barnett is the new Resources and Construction Minister in the Tasmanian cabinet.

Former Liberal senator Guy Barnett is the new Resources, Building, Construction and Consumer Affairs Minister in the Tasmanian cabinet.

Mr Barnett replaces former minister Adam Brooks, who resigned from cabinet after initially denying he had used an email address linked to his company.

"Guy comes to the ministry with considerable experience as a member of parliament, including almost a decade as a senator for Tasmania," Premier Will Hodgman said on Tuesday.
