The Melbourne Stars are on the hunt for a new Big Bash League coach after Stephen Fleming announced his plans to step down.
Fleming, who has coached the Stars since 2015, told the board that he wouldn't be seeking an extension.
"I feel the time is right for me to step down and allow someone else to take the reins and the club forward," the former New Zealand captain said.
"The club is in very good shape having rebounded from last in BBL 07 (2017-18) to grand finalist this season.
"Whilst we didn't get the ultimate prize I'm confident that the group of players we have assembled will be motivated to go one further next season."
