Chris Green's impressive BBL season has led to him earning a potentially lucrative contract in the Pakistan Super League.

The 23-year-old Sydney Thunder offspinner will replace Hobart Hurricanes paceman Shaun Tait at the Lahore Qalandars ahead of next month's PSL.

"Woke up to some exciting news! Looking forward to being a Qalandar," Green tweeted on Tuesday.

He has played eight BBL games this season, taking seven wickets at an average of 28.14 with an economy rate of 6.79.

Green is also a handy pinch-hitter late in the innings, taking 22 off one over against the Brisbane Heat in the 2016/17 season.
