Paceman Jason Behrendorff is set to make his Sheffield Shield return this weekend after being named in Western Australia's 12-man squad for their clash with Victoria at the WACA Ground.

Behrendorff hasn't played for the Warriors since fracturing his leg during their Shield loss to Queensland in November.

The left-arm paceman narrowly missed out on making his competitive return in the Perth Scorchers' BBL title victory over the Sydney Sixers.

But he has now been named for his Shield return after taking three wickets for WA in the Futures League earlier this week.

WA are now just four points adrift of second spot after three straight wins with Victoria top of the ladder.

Warriors skipper Adam Voges needs one more victory to have the most wins as WA captain in Sheffield Shield history. He would move ahead of John Inverarity (22 wins).
